Last Tigers Series of the Regular Season

With the split of the recent four game series against the Minnesota Twins, the magic number for the Detroit Tigers clinching the American League Central stands at two. This means two Tiger wins, a Tiger win and a Twin loss, and two Twin losses will clinch the division for Detroit at any point during the next three days.

The Tigers take on fellow division rivals the Chicago White Sox in the final three game series of the season with the division race coming to a climax. If the any of the above things happen for the Tigers this weekend their season will be extended into the playoffs.

Golden Limousine will once again be available for any ground transportation needs to get to the game. We offer charter buses and shuttles that will be available for the weekend and during the playoffs should the Tigers make it. If that happens you can count on Golden to be available too, as well as for anything you need ground transportation for in the Detroit area.

Tigers-Twins Four Game Series

The AL Central Division race all comes down to this weekend. The Detroit Tigers are holding on to a rail thin two game lead over the Minnesota Twins going into their last seven games including a four game series with the Twins starting today. Essentially the race comes down to this series as well as the three game series against the Chicago White Sox this weekend.

The first three games will all be at 7pm and the game on Thursday will be at 1pm. In order to wrap up the division they will need to win at least three games. The stands at Comerica Park will be full, the whole state of Michigan will be paying attention and Golden Limousine wants you to be there.

Our sporting event shuttles get you too and from the game with time to spare and our staff will be courteous and receptive to you and your party. As a local company we sympathize with our local teams and want you to be able to be there for them for the most important stretch of the season.

Tigers-Rays series

Coming off of their first road series win in over two months the Tigers are rolling into a series with the defending American League champions hoping to pull off what the Tampa Bay Rays were able to do and come back from a disappointing season last year and get to the World Series. The Tigers start a four game series today against the Rays hoping to come out of it with a bigger lead in the central division than the four game lead that they currently have on the White Sox.

With the season about to go into its last month and the Tigers still holding onto a slim lead every series is going to become crucial in the ongoing battle for the Central Division. Once again this series will be another chance for the Tigers to prove that they are for real in the pennant race.

With all of the exciting action going on it would be a perfect opportunity to check out what kind of deals Golden Limousine has to offer for transportation to offer. Don't miss out on the exciting pennant race that is shaping up right now.

Ford Field Tour + Tigers this week + Lions next week...oh my

Another big home series for the Detroit Tigers against a division rival means that people will be flocking to downtown Detroit for the weekend. With the drama of the Major League Baseball season going on at Comerica Park tonight and Saturday night a good way to do a pregame would be to take a look at the place next door.

With the AL Central Division race heading into the dog days of summer with the Tigers currently in the lead, there's never been a better time to look into our Sensational Detroit package. There's a lot going on, and not just sports. Whatever it is in Detroit that you're looking to do, we can get you there, and if you're just there for the series we'll get you there too.

Speaking about the place next door, the Lions first preseason game will be next Saturday August 16 at Ford Field against the Atlanta Falcons. Fans will not only be looking forward to getting over the winless season last year, but also to get their first look at the first pick in the draft Quarterback Matthew Stafford. You can have access to all these events through Golden with our sports concierge service. With everything going on this weekend you'd me hard pressed not to miss a golden opportunity like this.

Tigers-White Sox series

The race for the AL Central Division title is going down the stretch and making the turn as the Detroit Tigers and the Chicago White Sox are currently deadlocked going into this weekend's four game in three day series. The White Sox come in with lots of momentum coming off of a perfect game thrown by Mark Buehrle yesterday. The Tigers have won one game since coming off the All-Star break but will have their aces Justin Verlander and Edwin Jackson both available to start during the series in hopes that they will be able to come up with much needed victories.
With that in mind the Tigers are also hoping that their recently dormant bats will reawaken, as they have averaged a mere two runs per game since the break, and while their starting rotation has been stellar as of late they have been lacking in run support. Hopefully for them they will be able to get that because against the red hot White Sox runs will be precious and they'll need all that they can get.

This will be the last time the Tigers play the White Sox before playing them and the Minnesota Twins in their last ten games, playing the Sox six times during that time period with a home and home split. At this point every game is a must win as the Tigers head into the dog days of summer.

If you're looking to see this series and hear the roar of the Tigers at Comerica Park, check out Golden Limousine's sports packages. We can get you to the game and get you safe at home, we've got transportation options open to any budget and are a viable option should you need to call in some relief.

Brandon Inge makes the All Star team

For the first time in his tumultuous ten year career with the Detroit Tigers Third Baseman Brandon Inge is going to the All Star game in St. Louis on Tuesday July 14. One of the biggest reasons why Inge is going, aside from the fact that he is on pace to hit at least 30 home runs and is one of the best defensive third basemen in baseball, is because he had the benefit of one of the best marketing campaigns I've ever seen for a professional athlete.

It was very simple, the Tigers simple partnered up with the Philadelphia Philles, who were trying to get Shane Victorino in on the last ballot, to create the "Bran Torino" campaign, an obvious pun on the most recent and allegedly last Clint Eastwood film "Grand Torino." The movie was set and partially filmed in Detroit, giving the area some much needed screen time in the current economic state. Since the movie was nationally popular the Philly fans were able to get with the program and with no other teams partnering up to promote their stars, it was inevitable that the two would win.

Things like this goes to show the power of cooperation in order to achieve a common goal. In this case it shows how to manipulate popular culture into something catchy by working together. A lot of people have criticized both players, saying that they don't deserve to get to the All-Star game and maybe they weren't the best players out there. But by using something that fans knew about both teams were able to motivate the fans to get their players into the All-Star game on the last ballot.

You can see Inge and his three All-Star teammates, Justin Verlander, Edwin Jackson, and Curtis Granderson, at Comerica Park all summer long, currently the team is in first place and hopes to stay that way. If you want to get to the roar of the Tigers with time to catch batting practice talk to Golden Limousine who will give the extra effort to get you all the way home as well, no matter where home is.
